The window is used for trip-book context only — Route Marshal never calculates a speed to “make up” time. Route style (below) is what actually shapes the route, and applies to every ride type, not just Endurance.

Route style

Efficient favors major roads/highways — the closest thing to "fastest," since Geoapify's routing doesn't have a literal fastest mode. Shortest distance minimizes total mileage instead, which can mean smaller roads/towns even off the interstate. Scenic avoids highways. Simple limits turns for easy navigation (also used to extend a short Endurance route). Touring defaults to Efficient; switch it anytime.
